April 17-19,2009,Tokyo,Japan

The objective of the workshop is to stimulate international cooperation
for solving the emergent and specific challenges in industrial and process
tomography. Following the success of the 2nd International Workshop on
Process Tomography (IWPT-2) held in December 2006 at Macau, the 3rd workshop,
IWPT-3, will be held in April 2009 at Tokyo. It will focus on the issues
of measurement validation and calibration, which are considered to present
significant technical challenges and to be major issues for future industrial
application of process tomography. Another key topic at the workshop will
be novel and effective methods to extract engineering information and to
analyse the tomographic data with user friendly interfaces. IWPT-3 will
provide an excellent opportunity for researchers working together on these
specific challenges.
Papers and workshop titles on validation, calibration and data implementation
methods are invited. Scientific reports and innovative industrial applications
associated with these topics are strongly encouraged. Key topics are given
below, but papers on related topics are welcome.
| Topic A: Calibration and Validation |
- Calibration methods for tomographic sensors
- Validation of tomographic measurements
- A priori-knowledge and theoretical modelling
- Industrial applications with calibration and validation
- Comparison between CFD and tomography results
|
| Topic B: Data fusion for tomographic 4-D data |
- Data handling methods
- Analytical methods
- Visualization platforms
|
| Topic C: Feature extraction in component multi-flow |
| New methods, New topics & Novel applications |
